    We are a real estate company specialized in the acquisition, refurbishment and sale of real estate properties in the cities of Barcelona and Madrid.

    After more than 30 years of history, we have established a differential business model based on value creation in real estate transactions carried out with the prime objective of meeting the needs of our clients.

    The solutions we provide are aimed at adding value to real estate assets by transforming them and making the most of the opportunities presented by the market. To date, we have analyzed more than 7,000 buildings and executed around 1,500 transactions with a total investment of 2,500 million euros.

    Historic milestones

    1. Luis Hernández de Cabanyes founds a company in Barcelona specialized in buying and selling parking spaces.

    2. Renta Corporación expands its business model by entering the residential property market.

    3. Fundación Renta Corporación is created, with the mission of improving the living conditions of the most disadvantaged members of society, including childcare and education, health services, nutrition, housing, infrastructure and social assistance.

    4. The company continues its consolidation and expands its activity to the office market in Barcelona and Madrid.

    5. The company gradually expands the type of properties it deals in, their size and geographic scope. It begins to expand to other countries: first to Paris, followed by London, Berlin and New York.

    6. Renta Corporación carries out one of its most high-profile refurbishments in Barcelona: Paseo de Gracia, 99. Conversion of an office building into a luxury apartment building by the prestigious architect Carles Ferrater.

    7. With a solid income statement, the company goes public. The company starts trading on the continuous market of the Spanish Stock Exchange, reaching a market capitalization of 1,000 million euros at the end of 2006.

    8. The company carries out an important transaction: it acquires the building at Vía Augusta 252 in order to convert it into its new corporate headquarters, carrying out a complete refurbishment of the building.

    9. A year of crisis management marked mainly by financial consolidation and a restructuring of the group. The company successfully manages two refinancings and insolvency proceedings in 2013, which are lifted 15 months later.

    10. Renta Corporación improves its net profit, with an increase in its activities and the volume of important transactions, such as the sale of Edificio Estel, the former headquarters of Telefónica in Barcelona, and the sale of the buildings at Salustiano Olózaga 12 and General Oraá 9 in Madrid.

    11. First transactions in partnership with real estate funds: Santísima Trinidad, 5, Madrid, transforming an office building into luxury apartments; and Puerta del Sol 9, a complete refurbishment of this historic building. In that same year, one of Renta Corporación’s most outstanding conversions is that of Hotel Covadonga in Avda. Diagonal in Barcelona.

    12. Creation of the Socimi Vivenio in partnership with the Dutch fund APG, adding a new line of business for Renta Corporación: the acquisition of residential property assets.

    13. Renta Corporación debuts in the promotion of new office building with a project in Barcelona 22 @, in the best area of the technological district (Badajoz, 112). Investment of € 10 Million in the project, which will have an area of 2,400 sqm above ground and in which Renta is committed to sustainability as the main axis to provide maximum value and welfare to the users of the property.

    14. The amount of 1,500 million euros of investment committed in Socimi Vivenio is reached. Currently, it has a total portfolio (operational + committed) of 6,000 homes, approximately.

    15. Creation of CABE urban storage spaces, a company 100% owned by Renta Corporación, for the rental of intelligent urban storage rooms throughout Spain. 24-hour access and surveillance, keyless entry, opening with a code or App, all in one click.

    16. Creation of Wellder Socimi, a company specialising in residences for the elderly with high standards of ESG criteria, for the creation of a portfolio of top-quality assets in the field of health, well-being and respect for the environment.
